After my 1st encounter with the pain of sciatica I went on a mad search for a good chiropractor.

I tried Forest Hills, and the local place on Queens Blvd in Rego Park - A wasted day traveling to these places and being turned away because I was on Medicare. I called Queens Center Chiropractic, (they accept Medicare) made a next day appointment and that started my relationship with QC Chiropractic. Myrna (Office Manager) quickly processed the paperwork and then I started my treatments with Dr. Tsourounakis. The doctor was able to explain (after in-office x-rays) my condition and the treatment plan. Dr. Tsourounakis was friendly, compassionate and very down to earth. He answered all my questions honestly (I always double check everything on the internet lol) as well as giving me exercises to do at home during the treatment process. I always leave my appointments with an increased sense of well being and with hope that everything will turn out well. When the Doctor is not available, Dr. Helena fills in without skipping a beat! She is great! A while back I fell and hurt my right knee on my way to their office and I couldn't believe the compassion she showed in helping me clean up the wound! These 2 doctors love their work and I see it in the way the treat their patients. They are friendly and create a "family" type of environment. I see it in their interactions with patients in the waiting area - you have retirees, young working people, mothers with their babies - a nice diverse environment - most with hope and confidence in their eyes. I sensed that they really believe that they will be helped. I recommended this facility to a friend with serious back issues - he told me QC was by far (he has been visiting chiropractors for years) the best Chiropractor he's seen based on Dr. Tsourounakis' knowledge, treatment approach and friendly personality. I would wholeheartedly recommend the two Dr. Tsourounakis' as Chiropractors - for mothers (expecting and post natal) and babies, Dr. Helena Tsourounakis is fantastic - I noticed how she interacts with young Mom's and Mom's to be!! In this age where $$ comes 1st, I'm glad that facilities still exist that put patient care 1st. I love these Chiropractors, God love and bless them!! :-)

I thought my previous surgery fixed precise areas that troubled me., years later my cervical spine was fused and compressed. I was in tremendous pain. While under Dr. Emanuel Tsourounakis and Dr Helena Tsourounakis care, it did not take me long to feel better. I’ve no doubt that my continue mobility and relief are all thanks to them. Everyone in the office is so nice and inviting. Whenever I feel discomfort or pain, they would add me in during their busy schedule. What really separates Dr Tsourounakis from the rest is his bedside manner, sense of humor, empathy, and ability to patiently listen. He has given me great advice on what I can do from home to relieve my pain until my next appointment. Whenever I leave the office, both Dr Emanuel Tsourounakis and Dr. Helena Tsourounakis make me feel optimistic that I am gonna be pain free and back to my normal self. I was so depressed thinking I would never get any better because a lot of doctors told me surgery was the next step. I trust Dr Emanuel Tsourounakis and Dr Helena Tsourounakis with their expertise and professionalism. They give me the highest level of care and I also saw and heard this from other patients in the waiting room. There are not enough stars to rate this dynamic duo. Wish we could clone them so the world would be pain free!!!

✨I am happy to report that I have been able to get a chiropractor adjustment with the amazing Helena Tsourounakis DC (my body cracked like never before 🤣🤣) I was finally able to sleep without pain, although still waking up every hour 😩. My baby also got adjusted, I had no idea babies could use it and could help so many things (no worries there is no cracking for them, it is very gentle, my baby was cracking up in laughter though 😁) ✨I got a massage that was incredible! I have never received a message that really soften the stiff neck, shoulders and upper back. He did one side and the difference was visible from one side to the other 😳 ✨ I got Craniosacral Therapy at home and it felt like a long meditation. ✨My husband and I went on a dinner date and a baptism party for the first time without the baby ( he was in good loving hands with my sister In law, he slept the three hours we were away 😳) and it felt good to reconnect with that part of me and my friends. Even though it was hard to recover even from a few hours of not sleeping 😴 ✨I joined a virtual postpartum group and has been gold 🔥 with @goldenbowbirth which I should have done sooner!! Highly recommend join a group like this! ( I had no idea things like this existed 😧 thanks to my doula Amanda Alappat for the recommendation and being there every step of the way ❤️) ✨And I'm still trying to figure out support and community in our new town ( did I mentioned I moved upstate from NYC? More on this soon). So far I have met a few lovely moms with babies around the same age as my baby and moms with older kids that are happy to host fun family events! it makes a huge difference to be able to connect with other moms and have community 🥰 I will be starting an in person postpartum group here❤️ I see now more clearly than ever before, if we take care of the mothers, the babies will be well taken care of. My neck pain has greatly subsided due to their care and expertise. I was unable to make it through a day of work before due to my two herniated discs in my neck, but thanks to them I have had relief and am starting to get back to a more normal way of life now.
